🕶️ Hide Web Elements Pro
Your floating command dock for taking back control of any page — hide it, edit it, unblock it, freeze it.
😩 Tired of the same sticky header, cookie nag, "subscribe to continue" wall or ad slot showing up on every visit? Hide Web Elements Pro drops a small floating dock 🎛️ onto every page. Click (or tap) the target icon, click the annoying element, and it's gone — instantly, and for good. Save the rule for just that page 📄, the whole site 🌐, or everywhere 🌍, so you only ever have to hide something once.
🧰 But it doesn't stop at hiding. Over time it's grown into a full page-control toolkit: an element editor ✏️, an overlay/paywall remover 🚫, a navigation-freeze guard ❄️, a cookie manager 🍪, a link & media extractor 🔗, and a handful of quality-of-life recovery tools 🛠️ — all tucked behind one dock so it never gets in your way until you need it.
🔒 Everything runs and stays on your device. Rules, settings and cookies you edit never leave your browser — there's no server, no account, no tracking involved.
🔗 Recommended to use together with
Universal Stealth Mask & Anti-Adblock Defuser
While Hide Web Elements Pro gives you manual control over hiding, freezing, and media extraction, Stealth Mask silently defeats anti‑adblock detection on thousands of sites. Together, they create a seamless, clean, and undetectable browsing experience.
✨ Core features
- 🎯 Hide — point-and-click element targeting. Pick a Site, Page or Global scope so the rule follows you around the whole domain, sticks to one exact URL, or applies to every site you visit.
- ✏️ Edit — rewrite any text or swap out an image/video on the page, while leaving the rest of the layout untouched. Great for muting spoilers, fixing typos on your own tools, or replacing distracting media.
- 👁️ Reveal — one tap brings back anything you've hidden or blurred, on the spot, with no reload needed. Perfect for double-checking a rule before you commit to it.
- 🚫 Anti-Paywall / Anti-Adblock — automatically detects and clears paywall gates, "please disable your ad blocker" nags and similar blocking overlays. Four aggressiveness levels let you dial it in (see the table below).
- 🪟 Auto-Close Modals & 🛡️ Auto-Close Logins — two independent switches that quietly dismiss popup dialogs and login/signup interstitials the moment they appear.
- ☑️ Cookie Consent Handling — set it to auto-accept or auto-reject cookie banners so you're never interrupted to make the same choice again.
- 🍪 Cookie Manager — browse, edit, create, delete and back up every cookie a page can see, using the browser's Cookie Store API when available for cleaner editing.
- 🖱️ Right-Click Restore — wins back your native context menu and long-press behavior on sites that try to disable them (looking at you, "protected" image galleries).
- ↕️ Scroll Recovery — releases the page-level scroll locks some overlays and paywalls use to trap your browser tab.
- 📵 Capture Resist Removal — neutralizes anti-screenshot and anti-screen-recording detection tricks some sites bake in.
- ⏩ Time Tools — auto-detects and fast-forwards countdown/ad timers on its own, plus a manual "+30 seconds" button for the ones it doesn't catch.
- ❄️ Navigation Freeze — a guard that intercepts link clicks, redirects, popups and form submissions so you decide whether a page gets to send you somewhere else. Four modes to choose from (see the table below).
- 🔗 Link & Media Lab — a dedicated panel for extracting, previewing and working with every link and media file on the current page.
🚦 Anti-Paywall / Anti-Adblock levels
| Level | What it does |
|---|
| ⚪ Off | Disabled — overlay cleanup does not run at all. |
| 🟡 Weak | Only removes high-confidence blocking overlays; no forced scroll unlock. Safest, most conservative option. |
| 🟠 Normal | Balanced detection with scroll recovery thrown in for confirmed blockers. The recommended everyday setting. |
| 🔴 Extreme | Aggressive detection plus a periodic re-scan to catch overlays that keep trying to reinsert themselves. |
🧭 Navigation Freeze modes
| Mode | What it does |
|---|
| ❓ Ask Every Time | You get an Allow/Deny prompt whenever the page tries to navigate away while Freeze is on. |
| ⛔ Auto-Block All | Every navigation attempt is silently blocked while Freeze is on — you won't be asked. |
| 🔗 Allow Same Domain Only | Links and redirects that stay on the same domain go through normally; leaving the domain is blocked. |
| 🟢 Allow All | Freeze has no effect on navigation — everything is let through as usual. |
💡 Tip: related-domain hops (e.g. facebook.com → facebook.com/name) are let through automatically in every mode except Auto-Block All, without ever touching your saved Allowed Domains list.
🚀 Getting started
- Load any page — a small floating dock 🎛️ appears automatically.
- Tap 🎯 Hide, then click the element you want gone.
- Choose whether the rule applies to this Page 📄, the whole Site 🌐, or Globally 🌍.
- That's it — the element stays hidden on every future visit, until you 👁️ Reveal it again.
🔍 Notes on privacy, storage & compatibility
- 🔒 Rules and settings are stored locally through the userscript manager's own storage (or
localStorage as a fallback) — nothing is ever sent to an external server. - 🍪 The Cookie Manager can only see cookies exposed to page scripts;
HttpOnly cookies can't be read or changed by any userscript, this one included. - 🧩 Runs inside a Shadow DOM, so the dock's own styling never leaks into — or gets overridden by — the page you're on.
- 🛡️ Builds its UI through a Trusted-Types-safe path, so it keeps working on sites with strict Content-Security-Policy rules that would otherwise block script-injected HTML.
- ⏪ Plays nicely with the browser's back/forward cache, so elements you've hidden stay hidden after using Back/Forward — not just after a full reload.
- 📱 Built to be touch-friendly, so the dock and its panels work just as well on mobile browsers that support userscripts.
