Glad you find this script useful. The script is somewhat neglected so it's pretty nice to know that it's still working as expected.
I found one issue: the ">" and "<" buttons are currently not ignored when writing a comment/reply. It's now a <div> element with id "contenteditable-root" (each post reply or main comment has this id...).
I changed the code to:
if (event.target.tagName === 'INPUT' || event.target.tagName === 'TEXTAREA' || event.target.id === 'contenteditable-root') return;
Good catch. Not going to lie, I would have never caught that issue myself. That being said, the script has been updated to fix that problematic case, with a slightly different approach that would hopefully be more resilient against future YouTube updates.
I have seen various Youtube speed scripts after NOVA no longer works, but yours is the most elegant. Simply use YT's own slider and make it remember the value. Thank you.
